Usage policy

This Usage Policy sets out how BookASlot expects customers and suppliers to behave on the platform. It applies alongside our Terms & Conditions.

Accounts

• Provide accurate information when creating an account, including a real name and a mobile number you control.
• Keep your login credentials confidential. You're responsible for activity under your account.
• One account per person. Suppliers may add staff members within their own supplier account rather than creating separate customer accounts.

Bookings

• Book only for genuine appointments you intend to keep. Repeated no-shows may result in account restrictions.
• Cancel or reschedule with as much notice as possible — check the supplier's specific cancellation terms on their profile.
• Don't attempt to bypass the booking system to avoid platform fees or reviews by arranging payment or scheduling outside BookASlot after a booking was made through it.

Suppliers

• List only services you're genuinely able to provide, with accurate pricing, duration, and availability.
• Keep your calendar up to date — availability shown to customers should reflect real capacity.
• Honour confirmed bookings. If you need to cancel, notify the customer as early as possible.
• Banking and payment details you provide must be your own, accurate, and kept current.

Prohibited conduct

The following are not allowed anywhere on BookASlot:

• Fraudulent, fake, or duplicate listings, reviews, or bookings
• Harassment, hate speech, or abusive behaviour toward other users or BookASlot staff
• Attempting to access another user's account or data without authorisation
• Uploading illegal, obscene, or infringing content (including photos you don't have the rights to use)
• Using the platform to promote services unrelated to genuine bookable appointments (e.g. spam, unrelated advertising)
• Circumventing security measures, rate limits, or automated abuse protections

Enforcement

We may warn, suspend, or permanently remove any account that breaches this policy, at our discretion and depending on severity. See our Abuse Policy for how to report a problem.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of BookASlot after a change means you accept the updated policy.
